About Olhão:
The municipality of Olhão is located in the East and Central Algarve, occupying a total area of approximately 130 km2. It is confronted to the east and north with the municipality of Tavira, to the west with the municipality of Faro and to the south with the Atlantic Ocean.

The entire coastal area of the municipality of Olhão is part of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, one of the most important wetlands in Europe, recently distinguished as one of Portugal’s Natural Wonders.
