Parchal is a Portuguese village in the municipality of Lagoa, with 3.86 km² of area and 4019 inhabitants (2011). Density: 893.1 h/km².

It was the seat of a parish created on June 20, 1997 by disaggregation of the then parish of Estômbar. and was abolished in 2013, as part of a national administrative reform, to, together with Estômbar, form a new parish called União das Freguesias de Estômbar e Parchal with its headquarters in Estômbar.

This parish serves as Portimão’s ’dormitory town’, since much of the city’s working population moves away from the large metropolis by choosing the neighboring lands to inhabit. Parchal, due to its great proximity to Portimão, was one of the elected parishes, greatly multiplying its expansion since the 25th of April.

It was elevated to town status on July 12, 2001.
