Just one hour and a half from Oporto, at the south-western tip of the Bragança district, a quiet plateau overlooks the Tua, Sabor and Douro valleys at an altitude of 2625 ft (800 metres). In the municipality of Carrazeda de Ansiães, just outside the village of Fonte Longa, the small municipal road CM1142 passes through Besteiros. The municipality has 8 footpaths of varying degrees of difficulty, allowing you to appreciate the strength, diversity and splendour of the environment.
