Câmara de Lobos is a town of municipality and parish, located on the south coast of the island of Madeira.

The name of this parish comes from the fact that, at the time of the discovery of the island, a large number of sea wolves were sighted in that cove that still maintains the same configuration today. Currently, these animals occasionally appear only on the south coast of the island, with a colony preserved in the Desertislands.
